SUPERVISORY INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a Supervisor Instructional Systems Specialist in the CENTER FOR SERVICE SUPPORT in Dam Neck, Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Major duties
You will develop curriculum for a large variety of career specialty fields of enlisted career occupational paths for educational and training instruction regarding learning theories, principles, methods, practices and broad instructional techniques. You will plan, develop, and provide curriculum development support requirement (i.e., personnel, equipment, facilities and other resources) for innovative and/or experimental training programs. You will design or evaluate the effectiveness of current and/or proposed curriculum based on relevant theories, and instructional design principles and methods. You will develop statements of work to support curriculum development of contract management and acquisition processes. You will use a variety of information technology computer software applications (e.g., AIM, CeTARS, NeL, etc.) for all phases of curriculum.
What you need to qualify
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising personnel on learning theories, principles, methods and instructional techniques; 2) Developing solutions to instructional program issues; 3) Developing curriculum in accordance with learning objectives; and 4) Evaluating instructional programs for effectiveness and efficiency for subject area. My experience demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction.
