About the Position: This position is located at the White Sands Missile Range,Commanding General, G1 Human Resources Directorate, White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. (merit)

Major duties

Ensure program objectives, planning, and execution including consideration and coordination with similar programs. Oversee the overall planning, direction, and timely execution of WSMR HR programs. Serve as HR Officer and senior advisor to HR staff, program managers, senior leaders, and ATEC Headquarters (HQ). Establish civilian and military HR program goals and objectives; develop resource estimates; and determine resource allocations for the G-1 Directorate. Conduct inspection of staff and test directorates IAW ATEC and Mangers Internal Controls checklists for military and civilian personnel. Serve as senior manager, performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties. Leads, guides, and mentors’ subordinates and managers in achieving organizational goals and objectives.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) experience managing workforce change by analyzing personnel needs and implementing staffing and succession plans; (2) experience overseeing compliance through inspections, process reviews, and corrective actions; and (3) experience advising senior leaders on HR policy, regulatory issues, and program improvements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13).
