Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! Major duties

What to Expect Provides technician support by performing a wide variety of direct services to the public such as: registers patrons, charges/discharges materials, processes over-dues and reserves, assists with interlibrary loans and reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, assists in program activities, answers basic reference questions involving the use of selected resources, and assists customers in locating materials; and/or provides technical services support in a variety of functions: ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials. Accepts payments for library transactions and records receipts of monies collected for review by immediate supervisor. Performs a variety of general office and clerical tasks in support of library operation. Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories. Answers the telephone, takes messages, and refers callers to appropriate staff members. Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. May be assigned to any Library Branch facility on a temporary or permanent basis as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you need to qualify

What are we looking for? One year experience in responsible library support services using an Integrated Library System (ILS) is preferred. Ability to use copier, scanner, fax machine, computer programs, and other office equipment. Ability to plan, organize, and carry out directives. Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include weekends and evenings. May be required to successfully complete a Childcare National Agency Check with Inquiries (CNACI).
