About the Position: This is a permanent position with the U.S. Army Geospatial Center in Alexandria, VA, as Deputy Product Director. In this interdisciplinary role, the incumbent will lead the acquisition, integration, and programmatic management of vital, state-of-the-art military engineering reconnaissance and geospatial systems. Major duties
Serves as the Deputy Product Director, managing the cost, schedule, performance, and life-cycle support of complex Department of War (DoW) Programs of Record, specialized geospatial systems, and military engineering reconnaissance technologies. Oversees the design, development, and integration of state-of-the-art surveying, mapping, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to ensure seamless dissemination of critical spatial data to Joint Forums and warfighters. Formulates, defends, and executes multi-year program budgets and spend plans; monitors contract performance and resource allocation to prevent gaps and ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations. Serves as a primary technical advisor and spokesperson, presenting complex programmatic briefs to higher echelons, federal partners, and external stakeholders to drive collaborative geospatial initiatives. Provides strategic direction, leadership, and operational oversight to a multidisciplinary team of civilian and contractor personnel, planning for long-range staffing needs and fostering a highly technical workforce.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Program/Project Management Strategic Thinking Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
