What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER (FACILITIES MAINTENANCE) in the Maintenance Control Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII.

Major duties

You will be the principal advisor to the Facilities Maintenance Officer, Facilities Deputy Director, and Facilities Director on facility maintenance and repair and facility services. You will provide information and recommendations for the facilities portion of inter and intra service support agreements. You will prepare maintenance, alterations, equipment installation, and Repair work packages which define work scopes to include cost estimates, engineering designs, contract plans and specifications. You will responsible for the inspection of the condition of all real property facilities, and preparation of backlog of maintenance and repair report. You will supervise the Facilities Maintenance Control Branch and its four different sections.

What you need to qualify

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing facilities maintenance and repair, facility services and utility operations for the activity and tenant command major facility repair projects; AND Supervising employees in assigning workload, performance evaluation, training and disciplinary action.
