What you'd do

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.

Major duties

Provides oversight of activities and necessary services to authorized patrons, including general information on the use of golf equipment. Provides information concerning golf facilities and operation. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Performs and/or assists in the operation of Sound of Freedom Golf Course. Based on established policies, incumbent will provide customers with information about the course, tee times, and pricing. Answer phone calls and assist customers with reserving tee times. Ensure customers check in and understand course rules and golf cart etiquette. Process payments and returns. Monitor tee sheet to ensure tee times are on schedule. Assist golfers with finding their cart and document cart number at check in. Manage pace of play by ensuring groups are teeing off on schedule. Ensure golfers are following rules and regulations. Ensure golf carts are pulled forward if there isn¿t a cart attendant available and time allows. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you need to qualify

Three months experience in a recreational activity is desired. Skill to learn MCCS policies, rules and regulations involving the area, and ability to communicate orally and in writing. Knowledge of basic mathematics. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
