About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the FSS Marketing, Travis Air Force Base, CA. Work Schedule: Regular Part-Time employees are guaranteed 20 hours per week but may work up to 40 hours per week. Major duties

The primary function of the position is to assist the marketing specialist in the development of marketing and advertising programs for the Force Support Squadron. Assists in developing and implementing marketing programs for the Force Support Squadron. Under the direction of the Supervisory Marketing Specialist, assists in determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation and increase financial income to FSS activities. Assists in conducting qualitative and quantitative market research. Using standard industry practice, computer software and/or instruments specifically developed for use within Services, adapts or modifies research techniques for local purposes. Administers surveys, collects data, tabulates responses, and assists the Supervisory Marketing Specialist/Marketing Specialist in analyzing results. Keeps the Supervisory Marketing Specialist /Marketing Specialist informed of consumer trends and their application to the activities. Makes recommendations to the Supervisory Marketing Specialist /Marketing Specialist on program modifications and enhancements. Attends major FSS events and provides constructive marketing feedback to the activity manager. Assist in conducting advertising campaigns. Obtains information on upcoming events, special programs and offers for activity managers. Assists Marketing Specialist in developing communication strategies to determine the most effective and efficient method of reaching the target market. Make recommendations to activity managers on the design of effective advertising vehicles and appropriate media mix. Assists in planning marketing campaigns designed to enhance participation in Services activities by considering the characteristics of the target audience and the media mix necessary to reach them. Maintains Social Media relationships associated with established profiles for Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms. Proactively engages with users daily by implementing social networking strategies for all ads, promotions and special events offered by local FSS. Constantly improves the FSS social media strategy by leveraging innovative technologies and business practices. Prepares and presents briefings to base functions such as newcomers' orientation. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience which provides a general knowledge of marketing/advertising principles and practices. Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform research, select, arrange and compose material and maintain well-organized files. In addition, must have specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork using desk top publishing software, word processing and other software. Experience developing, conducting and analyzing market research information. Ability to read, write and speak English. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and public.
