SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER
What you'd do
You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer in the Business Operations Directorate, Code 3500 of NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY.
Major duties
You will have the management responsibility and oversight for all issues and personnel related to NRL Facilities and Environmental in support of the NRL research mission. You will direct the planning, programming, and execution of the various functions of the division. You will assess project proposals, staffing mixes and level, and status of planned tasks to ensure the most profitable, effective, and efficient means are used to accomplish the mission. You will be responsible for the environmental programs and ensuring awareness of and compliance with environmental regulations.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/13 grade level or NP-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Administering a multi-million dollar annual budget supporting critical laboratory operations; 2) Establishing divisional requirements and strategic program objectives to align daily operations with the agency's research mission; and 3) Managing a multi-tiered organizational structure comprised of technical and support services to optimize mission workflow.
