ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
What you'd do
You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Public Works Department of Commander, Navy Installation Command.
Major duties
You will review design drawings and evaluate analytical engineering reports to determine corrective actions and provide guidance. You will document facility deficiencies and initiate corrective repair action. You will utilize mathematics for computations involving analysis and estimates of facility projects. You will conduct inspections of real property assets and develop written detailed analysis of facilities’ conditions. You will develop graphs, charts, and other visual aid presentation aids covering program performance, fund utilization, and budgetary requirements. You will proactively engage and build positive relationships with all stakeholders, providing outstanding service to drive collective success and achieve company-wide goals.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Using sound facility knowledge to collect, develop and prioritize repair alternatives; 2) Being a liaison with supported customers, contracting authorities and leadership to address facility needs and communicate facility solutions; and 3) Developing facility repair scopes of work and estimates for use by contracting personnel and for budgetary projections.
