The Executive Office for United States Attorneys (EOUSA) provides executive and administrative support for the 93 United States Attorneys located throughout the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the Marianas Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U. S. Virgin Islands. Such support includes legal education, administrative oversight, technical support, and the creation of uniform policies, among other responsibilities.
Major duties
This Information Technology Cybersecurity Program Manager provides information technology (IT) security leadership and policy implementation across OCIO. If selected for this position, you will join a team that is responsible for providing Information Technology Cybersecurity Program Manager support in the U.S. Attorney's Office, Executive Office for United States Attorneys, located in Columbia, South Carolina; Washington, District of Columbia, focusing in the areas of security of information systems.. Typical work assignments will include: Ensures that end users adhere to security policy and guidelines as well as complete mandatory security training in a timely manner. Manages system ATO activities, oversees continuous security monitoring, and ensures compliance to maintain system security and operational readiness. Conducts IT security testing, assessment and authorization to meet DOJ operational requirements. Evaluates the impact of new cybersecurity guidance on current programs and recommends changes to existing policies and processes to ensure compliance and responsiveness. Identifies the need for changes based on new security technologies or threats. Conducts on-site and remote analyses of information systems standard security products and associated systems. Manages information technology projects related to information security of OCIO programs. Oversees cybersecurity compliance for IT projects, and prepares justification and compliance reports in support of EOUSA IT investments. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying: To qualify at the GS-14 level, you must possess: Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service performing (obtained in either the public or private sectors) (4) of the (5) duties listed below: Developing, implementing, and evaluating cybersecurity policies, security controls, and information security programs; Leading information systems security activities by assessing risks, implementing security controls, or resolving system vulnerabilities; Managing complex information technology or cybersecurity projects; Providing expert cybersecurity guidance and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders; Conducting cybersecurity compliance and risk management activities. TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. You must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted; recommended SF-50s include promotions and step increases (within grade increases).
