Major duties

If selected for this position, you will serve as the Resources Management Officer in the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Typical work assignments will include: Participating in the overall planning and managing of the administrative support program to include the areas of finance, human resources and support services. Supervising staff by planning the work to be accomplished, setting goals and priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work. Providing advice and guidance to senior level management on various administrative program areas. Overseeing the District's human resources program, which includes, position classification, staffing and recruitment, training and development, performance management and employee relations. Assisting the Administrative Officer oversee the District budget formulation and execution through the fiscal year. Overseeing support services for the district in the areas of contracts, procurement, facilities management, records storage, copying and printing services, and other related support services.

What you need to qualify

GS-13: To be eligible at the GS-13 level, you must have at least ONE year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in Federal Service. Specialized experience includes experience performing the following: 1) providing advisory services to senior management officials in an administrative program area; and 2) overseeing a program or leading a team for one or more of the following administrative program areas: (a) Budget; (b) Human Resources (HR); (c) Information Technology (IT); or (d) Acquisitions and/or Contracting. Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)-The CTAP provides eligible surplus and displaced competitive service employees in the Department of Justice with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your Department of Justice component has notified you in writing that you are a surplus or displaced employee eligible for CTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your CTAP eligibility, 2) you apply under the instructions in this announcement, and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy. To be well qualified, you must satisfy all qualification requirements for the vacant position and receive a score of 85 or better on established ranking criteria.
