What you'd do
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 27 SOFSS Landing Zone at Cannon AFB. This is a Flexible position. The purpose of the position is to perform simple manual tasks.
Major duties
Performs a variety of tasks which include but are not limited to the following: Opens, unpacks, and removes contents of cartons and places them where directed; performs general housekeeping duties such as packing up trash and paper from designated areas; pulls weeds, waters grass, and rakes leaves. May perform duties requiring use of tools and equipment such as a hand truck, rake, brush, etc. Assist Caterer and Club Staff with the set up and breakdown of tables. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Ability to follow simple oral instructions and use simple tools or equipment. Ability to frequently lift and carry light to medium objects weighing 10 to 30 pounds. May occasionally be required to lift and carry objects weighing up to 45 pounds. Must be able to actively bend, stoop, stand, reach, and work in awkward positions. Skill and Knowledge: A certain degree of manual skill is required in using hand tools and in operating simple power equipment. Responsibility: Supervisor assigns work by simple oral instructions, provides specific instructions for each different task, and evaluates performance. Physical Effort: Frequently lifts and carries light- to medium-weight objects (10 to 30 pounds) and occasionally lifts objects up to 45 pounds. Continuous walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Working Conditions: Work may be outdoors, but usually not in bad weather. May be exposed to drafts, noise, dust, and dirt. Chance of minor injuries (bruises, cuts, and scrapes).
