About the Position: The position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Major duties

Using computer generate ingredient lists or requisition forms, loads food and non-food items onto truck and hand carts or mechanized conveyances. Date stamps stock and places in correct permanent storage location according to specific oral instructions and established methods. Checks quantities received against order, making notes of overages and shortages. Receives telephone requests for food and non-food supplies then records and assembles orders. Maintains warehouse sanitation standards according to regulations and local policies. Checks stock levels of food and non-food supplies on a weekly basis to determine needs.

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a Material Handler without more than normal supervision. Selecting items for shipment or issue; locating items from preprinted inventory list; comparing, identifying information on documents with stock tags, bin markings, or box markings, selecting stock in the quantities indicated by the ingredient summary; corrects location of discrepancies. I can assemble selected items and move items to loading dock area; managing overages and shortages of items - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
