IT SPECIALIST (APPSW)
What you'd do
You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (APPSW) in the Expeditionary C3 & Cyber Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Major duties
You will serve as a senior Cybersecurity Information System Security Manager (ISSM) and Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing comprehensive lifecycle Information Assurance (IA) and secure engineering leadership for critical tactical systems. You will leverage expert-level knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and current DoD authorization pathways to lead research, development, engineering, and continuous monitoring of robust security authorization packages. You will have extensive, multi-disciplinary technical acumen spanning advanced hardware architecture configurations, secure system design, and the implementation and rigorous documentation of application-level software security controls.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Using the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to build and manage security authorization packages to achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO); performing secure engineering on tactical systems by validating source code, enforcing software controls, and configuring secure hardware or networks; and leading technical teams or working groups to solve operational security problems and manage customer communication. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
