About the Position: This position is located at Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

Major duties

Serve as a Practice Manager (PM) for one or more complex, multi-faceted, medical practice(s). Manage the day-to-day operations of the practice, allowing clinical staff to focus on patient care needs unencumbered by administrative tasks. Contribute to the development and implementation of standard policies and procedures applicable at the practice level. Plan, direct, analyze, and coordinate administrative activities for a health care delivery system. Develop, implement, and oversee systems for the purchase of materials and equipment, review and make recommendations for temporary duty (TDY) requests, training, and other expenditures.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: one year of experience involving a full range of: 1)administrative and technical support services for one or more complex, multi-faceted, medical practice(s); 2)Statistical analysis, fiscal management, personnel, supply, information technology, budget workload, quality accuracy, records administration, and hospital facilities for assigned areas and involves considerable responsibility for planning, overseeing, organizing and controlling administrative operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
