What you'd do

This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration, in the Program Management Office of the Chief Administrative Office (N). The purpose of this position is to serve as supervisor of the Program Management Office and the Internal Operations Manager, a member of the N management team with responsibility for planning, supervising, and leading programs, systems, and work processes that are necessary to perform the critical mission and support activities.

Major duties

As a Supervisory Management Analyst, you will: Exercise delegated supervisory authorities and responsibilities. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. Develop performance standards and evaluate the work performance of subordinates. Approve expenses comparable to within-grade increases, extensive overtime, and employee travel. Ensure team-oriented, effective, harmonious, and productive formal and informal working relationships. Work directly for and serve as the overall programmatic advisor and expert consultant to the Chief Administrative Officer and Deputy Plan, coordinate and monitor critical strategic activities and special projects as assigned by the Chief Administrative Officer and Deputy. Represents N and/or the BPA in working directly with executive-level personnel, managers and staff in BPA, other Federal agencies; State and local authorities; and other stakeholders.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position is defined as: 1) planning and leading programs, systems, and work processes that are necessary to perform the critical mission and support activities required of the organization; AND 2) providing guidance and analyses in the coordination of programs and activities, including planning and scheduling, operational performance, regulatory compliance, or administrative support functions. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-in-Grade: Current Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement to receive consideration.
