Major duties
You will serve as the MK 46 Gun Weapon System (GWS) project manager who oversees acquisition, production, integration, and test and evaluation efforts for the assigned commodity. You will work on varied, complex engineering and programmatic issues requiring the application of advanced engineering concepts, theories, and principles for the management of the MK 46 GWS projects. You will develop plans and procedures to extend existing knowledge and tests to account for newly emerging ideas and concepts for the assigned GWS. You will plan and coordinate design, test, and logistical support with internal and external customers across a broad spectrum of government employees, active duty military, other government organizations, and industry.
What you need to qualify
In addition to basic education requirements, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-09/11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer, applying engineering/scientific theories, concepts, and practices to lead acquisition, production, integration, or test and evaluation efforts for weapon system projects.
