What you'd do

You will serve as a Supervisory Financial Management Analyst, Accounting Division, Resource Management, Maritime Headquarters in the BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY. No PCS costs will be paid.

Major duties

You will serve as the senior liaison for accounting and financial management policy and procedures within the organization. You will direct and/or perform continuing program execution review, analysis and appraisal of the major operating and support programs within the organization. You will prepare briefs for senior managers on program execution and provide recommendations to correct programs variances or problem areas. You will provide interpretive and analytical advice on financial transactions and program execution; develops format and content to provide managers.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Conducting complex studies and analyses of accounting operations, financial statements, and other accounting information for a command. Identifying accounting and financial statement requirements of stakeholders and present solution alternatives for selection and approval. Managing the implementation of changes to processes and procedures within the financial management system. Coordinating the review and approval of system accounting change requests, and system upgrades with system providers. Providing expert interpretation of accounting reports, statements, and all other accounting data for a command. Leading internal and external financial reporting initiatives. Managing and Leading Teams/Projects.
