What you need to qualify

FOR GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Implementing processes to solve problems for various environmental media, 2) Applying knowledge of various environmental laws, regulations, and standards to support customer, program, and regulatory requirements; 3) Providing products and services for various environmental media (i.e. storm water, wastewater, potable water); 4) Reviewing technical reports, standard operating procedures, and plans of projects and collaborates with planners, construction managers, and contractors in order to ensure compliance with environmental requirements; 5) Conducting site investigations, audits, and surveys and collaborating with customers and other organizations to resolve environmental concerns; and 6) Communicating in order to clarify, interpret, and advise on environmental laws, regulations, policies, and guidance. FOR GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Assisting program management with planning, development, and compliance in environmental compliance related fields such as Water Quality, Waste Management, and Pollution Prevention; 2) Assisting in ensuring compliance with federal, state and local environmental regulations; 3) Performing field visits to conduct environmental inspections, site audits, and surveys to assess environmental compliance requirements; and 4) Assisting in preparing draft correspondence, technical reports, field logs, inspection reports, and other supporting environmental documentation.
