What you'd do

You will serve as a Human Resources Specialist (Military) in the Reserve Medical Division of the Navy Personnel Command Reserve (NPC) Millington TN.

Major duties

You will apply Navy Reserve Polices an instructions to Medical hold (MEDHOLD) cases to ensure compliance with medical retention standards evaluate an organization's human resources program to identify program deficiencies. You will utilize Microsoft data bases and share-point to track data; generating MEDHOLD status reports and providing them to Command. You will draft correspondence to external stakeholders to resolve MEDHOLD related inquiries. You will interpret Navy /DoW policy and Title 10 laws related to MEDHOLD adjudications and determinations.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting, and applying Navy, DoD, and/or federal personnel policies, regulations, or Title 10 authorities to adjudicate or administer military human resources actions; 2) Maintaining personnel records and utilizing automated personnel systems or databases to track and report case status; 3) Coordinating with multiple stakeholders to resolve personnel actions and ensure timely processing; and 4) Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, to provide guidance, prepare correspondence, and explain policies and procedures.
