About the position: This position will be assigned to the Little Rock AFB, AR - NAF Human Resources Office. This is a flexible position with 0 hours guaranteed but will require approximately 15 - 20 hours per week. Applicants must be available to work three to five days per week during standard office hours of 0800-1530 to meet mission requirements.
Major duties
Duties and Responsibilities: Performs a variety of general office duties such as receiving telephone calls and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, sorting and distributing the mail, and providing routine support tasks within the NAF HR office. Performs records management tasks/responsibilities, including assisting with the auditing of files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Drafts outgoing correspondence. Operates a personal computer and Microsoft Office software programs to enter data, complete forms, and to assist applicants in applying for vacancies. Utilizes automated office equipment (i.e., copier, fax machine, scanner, or equivalent) in accomplishment of tasks. Make copies, extensively scan documents, and upload documents and files documents for case file or recordkeeping purposes. Provides general information regarding position vacancies, application procedures, status on vacancies and requests, etc. May assist in providing recruitment and placement service to Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) activities. Refers inquiries about specific issues or actions to the appropriate assistant or specialist. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Experience performing clerical work and providing customer service to internal and external customers; applying rules, regulations, and procedures in accomplishment of clerical/administrative work; utilizing office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel).
