About the Position: As the Lead Realty Specialist, incumbent is responsible for coordinating efficient and effective accomplishment of the execution of major projects in support of the agency's Real Estate mission. As Technical Advisor and Quality Control leader, the employee is also responsible for providing guidance for real estate products and projects. The position requires a broad real estate background.

Major duties

Serves as a Lead Realty Specialist responsible for communicating community of practice roles and responsibilities and coaching, coordinating, and facilitating the execution of work. Performs highly complicated tasks necessary to complete the Real Estate actions. Plans, budgets, obtains funding, monitors expenditures, and assures completion of realty actions to support management and perform work involving project milestones and budgets. Serves as a Technical Advisor on real estate matters.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) planning, coordinating, facilitating, budgeting, negotiating and managing the acquisition and disposal of real property; AND 2) providing technical guidance and verifying adherence to current agency regulations and policies for civil and military projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
