Serve as the primary point of contact to the squadron commander/director for all administrative support programs to include but not limited to task management, cybersecurity liaison, Government Travel Card program, Defense Travel System administrator, drug demand reduction program, health care program, fitness program, Government Purchase Card program, safety program.

Major duties

Directly assist the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions. Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs. Serves as the organizational point of contact on personnel matters. Assists in planning, administering, and monitoring manpower resource requirements. Develops, establishes, updates, and maintains office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience or educational substitution requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions here under the heading Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NK-01, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include examples of maintaining office or personnel records, greeting and directing customers and personnel, and assisting in preparing reports. OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application package OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of specialized experience and education obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university listed above, that when combined equals 100% of the qualification's requirement.NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts with your application package KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization . 2. Knowledge of various office automation software programs , tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spread sheets, data bases, and graphs. 3. Knowledge of structure, programs and work methods of organization for personnel /manning issues. 4. Skills in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems. 5. Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and possess the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines. 6. Ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization . 7. Actively contributes as team member; takes initiative to accomplished assigned projects. 8. Identifies and pursues individual/team development opportunities. 9. Develops, modifies, and/or applies rules, procedures, or operations to resolve problems of moderate complexity/difficulty. 10. Plans and conducts administrative activities for projects. 11. Communicates/presents internal administrative/functional procedures and tasks internally and externally. 12. Prepares, coordinates, and consolidates documents, reports, or briefings. 13. Plans and executes assignments; resolves problems and handles deviations. 14. Organizes resources to achieve project schedules. 15. Effectively accomplishes project within established resource guidelines. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
