SECURITY SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Command Suite of NMRTC QUANTICO VA.
Major duties
You will adjudicate investigative reports to determine trustworthiness, employment eligibility, and suitability. You will maintain all security clearance records and files for command personnel. You will advise management and Human Resources on resolving complex personnel security issues. You will process, review, and, analyze derogatory information received on personnel and reports findings to higher authorities. You will develop, maintain, and update all local Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) plans, directives, and procedures. You will establish and manage the Command's Antiterrorism Working Group (ATWG). You will determine equipment and budget requirements to support the AT/FP program. You will performs core hazard and vulnerability analyses to determine threats and appropriate responses. You will maintain all local Emergency Management (EM) plans, directives, and procedures in coordination with base and local communities.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying comprehensive knowledge of security administration concepts, particularly in Personnel Security (PERSEC), Antiterrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), and Emergency Management (EM). This includes expert knowledge of federal and Department of War (DoW) regulations, adjudicative guidelines, and all-hazards disaster protocols. Experience conducting evaluation of personnel eligibility for access to classified information or assignment to sensitive duties. Experience establishing and implementing a comprehensive security education and training program for all staff. Preferred experience includes the following: at least three years of emergency management and planning experience, along with completion of some or all FEMA emergency management courses.
