SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST (SCI)
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST ( SENSITIVE COMPARTMENTED INFORMATION) in the OFFICE OF THE SPECIAL SECURITY OFFICER (SSO) of NAVAL WAR COLLEGE.
Major duties
You will be responsible for the daily oversight and tasking of assigned military and civilian security personnel. You will enforce compliance with National, Department of Defense (DoD), and Department of Navy (DoN) SCI policies, requirements, and procedures pertaining to Industrial, Personnel, lnformation, and Physical Security. You will evaluates security clearance requests by conducting pre-screening interviews to assess if candidates meet national eligibility standards and recommends approval or rejection to SIO as required. You will conduct local SCI and SCIF security inspections, audits, and reviews.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge with Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security classification guides to monitor and ensure adequate control of information security; 2) Conducting local security inspections/audits at the (SCI) level to identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions; 3) Interpreting/applying policies, procedures and directives to effect a security program and to prevent violations of security measures; 4) Analyzing reports of investigations and incidents and determining corrective actions.
