This vacancy is for a GS-1101-13, Business Operations Specialist (SARSAT Division) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Search and Rescue Satellite Aided Tracking Division (CG-SAR-3) in Washington, District of Columbia.

Major duties

You will serve as a Business Operations Specialist (SARSAT Division) and be responsible for providing specialized support to the U.S. SARSAT Program by performing expert data analysis, contract administration support, and stakeholder coordination, particularly for critical systems, national and international agreements.. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Compiling, analyzing, and reporting on contract execution data for critical acquisition programs, focusing on those involving national and international agreements or specialized technical requirements. Providing specialized advice and assistance to the U.S. Search and Rescue Satellite-Aided Tracking (SARSAT) program office on all aspects of contract development, execution, and administration, particularly for programs with unique technical requirements or international components. Serving as the web content manager for acquisition-related content. What you need to qualify

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Contract Administration - working knowledge of contract administration principles and best practices, particularly in the context of complex technical acquisitions or programs involving international agreements. Risk Analysis - conducting in-depth analysis to identify and mitigate risks associated with contract execution and administration. Acquisition Lifecycle - collaborating with stakeholders across the acquisition lifecycle to ensure efficient and effective contract management.
