What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Expeditionary Warfare Weapons and Energy Systems Department (JX), Experimentation and Assessment Division (JXR), Munitions Management Branch (JXRV) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.

Major duties

You will be responsible for workforce development, workload execution (i.e., Ammunition and Explosive material related management and logistics), and providing support and guidance to internal and external customers. You will demonstrate technical knowledge of ordnance related inventory management, information systems, Ammunition and Explosive material movements, shipments and other logistics requirements and processes. You will plan, distribute, coordinate, and monitor work assignments of subordinates as well as evaluate work performance and provide feedback on performance. You will advocate for compliance with applicable Explosive Safety requirements and encourage a strong safety focused culture. You will formulate objectives, priorities, and implement plans consistent with long-term interests of the organization in a global environment which considers the environment, resources, capabilities, constraints, and organizational goals and values. You will develop and implement the organization's project and programmatic policies and procedures and determine criteria for assessing effectiveness.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 grade equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading the planning and execution of ammunition and explosives related projects, programs, or initiatives to ensure project resources and quality of deliverables are maintained and upheld for the support of mission objectives.
