What you'd do

You will serve as a Senior Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering(APMSE)supporting the PMA-260 Common Support Equipment (CSE) team. You will be responsible for managing all engineering efforts for the CSE programs to enhance the maintenance capability of Sailors and Marines to operate, repair and service aircraft and airborne weapons fleet wide. You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, AIR PLATFORM SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Major duties

You will assist with formulating solutions and analyzing support equipment for the commodity, and provide and disseminate specialized technical expertise on support equipment. You will manage system engineering technical requirements identification, safety governance and risk management processes. You will be responsible for all systems engineering aspects including requirements development, technical planning and coordination of major programs and projects in ground support equipment development. You will manage engineering team’s development, support, and review of program documentation including requirements documentation, statement of works, engineering strategies and engineering plans. You will assist in evaluating and managing the execution, planning, and execution of systems engineering technical reviews.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or DP-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serving as a Lead Systems Engineer or as a Lead Technical Domain Subject Matter Expert for assigned systems providing authoritative systems engineering or senior-level engineering technical domain input and advice to systems engineering and to the program management leadership; 2) Developing and incorporating Systems Engineering work products or technical domain work products required to satisfy, complement and inform system acquisition program management process milestones, artifacts, strategic planning, risk characterization and decision making on major weapon systems; 3) Leading the incorporation and use of various and broad resources to support engineering development, planning and testing for assigned systems; and 4) Leading engineering, technical, acquisition, and sustainment support personnel and teams.
