About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Lake Martin - Outdoor Recreation Area in Alexander City, AL.

Major duties

Monitors operations of the recreation area, normally during absence of the manager, and normally at night or on weekends. Responsible for check-in, rental of equipment. Prepares a report of all significant occurrences during the shift. Reviews the schedule of functions that are to take place during the assigned shift and ensures they are carried out as planned by management. Ensures that only authorized personnel use the facility, and that the park rules, regulations and established procedures are followed. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer problems. Provides instruction and guidance to all park staff members on functions taking place during the shift. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. This is a Position of Trust. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which provides knowledge of Outdoor Recreation Park operations. Must also possess experience which provides knowledge of cash handling procedures and rental agreements. Must have experience which demonstrates ability to provide work direction to other park employees and knowledge of fire, safety, and health regulations. Must be able to communicate with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public. Successful completion of National Agency Check w/Inquiries is required. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
