About the Position: This position is located at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC.
Major duties
Perform administrative processing, coordination, and tracking of all actions required for Soldiers undergoing evaluation through the Army Disability Evaluation System. Develop slides, charts, graphs, and other briefing materials and design or adapt forms and reports to support program needs. Coordinate and schedule appointments using the Patient Appointment System by verifying patient information. Maintain clinic convenience files and track patient visit data for workload reporting. Convert spreadsheet data into charts, graphs, and report formats and transfer data between software programs. Provide Soldiers with clear explanations of required forms, including intake and physical forms, to ensure all medical conditions are accurately documented and assessed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing office automation systems to verify patient information, ensuring medical conditions are accurately documented, coordinating patient visits, and ordering laboratory tests for physicians. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
