What you'd do

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and this position will be assigned to the Strikers Bowling Center in Mountain Home AFB, ID. This is a Flexible work schedule with no minimum guaranteed hours, however may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits.

Major duties

Performs a variety of customer service and operational support duties in a Bowling Center. Greets customers, answers questions regarding facility programs, services, fees, and bowling procedures, and provides general information to ensure positive customer experience. Assists with bowling leagues, tournaments, special events, and other morale, welfare, and recreation activities as assigned. Assists in maximizing lane and equipment utilization through efficient customer flow and scheduling. Assigns lanes, assists patrons with shoe rentals, bowling equipment, takes and processes customer food orders, and other services. Monitors bowling lanes and equipment during operations, resolves routine issues such as ball return interruptions or minor lane problems, and notifies appropriate personnel when maintenance beyond routine assistance is required. Operates a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system to process sales, rentals, fees, and other transactions in accordance with established cash handling procedures. Prepares and submits daily cashier reports at the end of each shift and completes bank deposits from all shifts when working the night shift. Operates a public address (PA) system to make announcements for patrons. Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the facility by cleaning bowling areas, counters, rental shoes, seating areas, tables, and other assigned workspaces. Assists with setting up, stocking, and organizing supplies, merchandise, and equipment. Ensures compliance with safety, security, and housekeeping procedures while maintaining a safe environment for patrons and employees. Performs other related duties as assigned. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience working in a bowling center or similar recreation facility, including basic knowledge of bowling operations, bowling rules and procedures, and minor lane or pinsetter troubleshooting and operation of cash register is desired. This is an entry level position and therefore no minimum qualifications are required. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI). Must meet appropriate minimum age requirement for serving alcoholic beverages.
