This National Guard position is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC LEADER - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1410000 and is part of the KY 123 AW, National Guard. ***NOTE: This is a DUAL Advertisement with AGR26-190. Major duties
As an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC LEADER - TITLE 32, WL-8852-10, you will on a regular and recurring basis, lead three or more aircraft mechanics, crew chiefs, and specialist personnel performing work in the inspection docks. Monitor the work of assigned personnel, set the pace, pass along assignments, and assures that materials, tools, equipment, and stock are available. Serve as a technical advisor by answering questions regarding appropriate procedures, policies, written instructions and other directives. Ensure that safety, housekeeping, security and other environmental rules are followed. Advise the supervisor of overall work operations, status and progress of work, causes for delays, problems encountered, and individual performance (e.g.,additional on-the-job training requirements for individual employees). Perform other duties as assigned. What you need to qualify
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience which demonstrates the ability to lead other technicians engaged in the duties performed by this occupational series such as removing and replacing aircraft parts, accessories, and components, and to make adjustments and settings according to established specifications?. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months experience in planning, organizing, and leading the work of others in fields directly related the repair function of this occupational series installing, adjusting, aligning, troubleshooting and functionally testing the various major and minor mechanical and pneudraulic systems on an aircraft during overhaul or modification. Must have the ability to perform administrative functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publications used in the repair of supported equipment. The ability to provide guidance to others in work related directly to this occupational series such as the ability to instruct lower graded mechanics, military and other personnel in the disassembly and re-assembly of crash damaged engines, transmissions, gearboxes, hydraulic components, and fuel controls sufficient for the exhibit to be returned to its shipping container?. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification.
