What you'd do
This position is in the Office of Finance and Administration (OFA), Office of Financial Operations and Management, Research Triangle Park Finance Division, Grants and Commercial Services Branch. About this organization: OFA This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).
Major duties
You will: Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organizational unit, ensuring that they comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Provide authoritative guidance on Federal and EPA regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to the financial management of grants and cooperative agreements. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements. One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.
What you need to qualify
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as providing guidance and recommendations on grants management and financial processes related to grants, contracts, and simplified acquisitions; solving problems related to grants and contracts; leading or overseeing staff, such as allocating work, providing technical guidance, and/or mentoring team members. You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Oral Communication Written Communication* Decision Making Supervisory and Leadership Judgment Managing Employees Financial Management and Analysis* Technical Competence* *You will be evaluated on these critical competencies.
