What you'd do

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY STAFF ACCOUNTANT in the G-8 of MARINE CORPS LOGISTICS COMMAND.

Major duties

You will lead complex accounting, budget execution, and financial management programs supporting a large, multi-mission military organization. You will supervise professional staff, establish work plans, assign priorities, evaluate performance, and manage staffing and resource requirements. You will direct financial analysis and reporting to support strategic goals, resource allocation, program execution, and senior-leader decision making. You will resolve complex accounting, budget, personnel, contractor, and operational issues while improving processes and eliminating barriers to mission accomplishment. You will oversee financial integrity, accuracy, timeliness, and validity of accounting, budget execution, and managerial financial reports. You will coordinate with senior leaders, DFAS, DLA, OMB, military services, contractors, and external stakeholders to defend programs and secure resources.

What you need to qualify

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: leading complex accounting, budget, and financial management programs; supervising multidisciplinary staff; and providing authoritative financial analysis and guidance to senior leaders. Directed resources, resolved complex issues, improved processes, and ensured financial integrity and mission execution. Coordinated with senior command officials, DFAS, DLA, OMB, military services, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve financial and operational issues and support strategic resource decisions.
