About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 93rd SIG BD located at Fort Eustis.
Major duties
Plans, recommends, coordinates, manages and evaluates major projects, studies andactions related to the development, introduction, incorporation and sustainment of Army, OSHA andjoint base safety. Researches, studies, and evaluates operations and risks, and identifies/develops methods/techniques to control/eliminate hazardous conditions that occur during daily operations and exercises. Develops safety alerts and messages to inform units of unsafe equipment or conditions which are timely. Reports all aspects of the safety program directly to Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) Safety Directorate. Studies Brigade or office operations, structure, work flow, equipment, mission, and other technical aspects. Develops and provides 93d Signal Brigade-wide policies and procedures for hazardous materials including the identification, storage, handling, use, disposal and transportation of the commodities.

Specialized experience would be demonstrated by managing comprehensive occupational safety and health programs; authoring safety SOPs, guidance, or training materials; evaluating a safety program effectiveness through audits and inspections; overseeing hazardous material identification, storage, handling and disposal.
