This position is located in the MWR Marketing Department of NAS Pensacola, Florida. Incumbent assists the Marketing Director with the implementation of a marketing program for the MWR Dept. Assist in maintaining communication needs and developing informational materials that inform agencies of the services and activities of the MWR Dept. Oversee commercial sponsorship and advertising proposals, solicitation of potential sponsors, sponsorship agreements and reports incoherence with Navy policy

Major duties

Sponsorship and Advertising (50%) Positions at this level do not have personal signature authority for the total commercial sponsorship program. Responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing, contracting, administering, and monitoring of the commercial sponsorship program. Develops a diversified commercial sponsorship program. Solicits sponsorship through advertisements, letters, and personal contacts. Develops collateral materials in support of the solicitation. Develops proposal packages and negotiates best terms for MWR. Initiates contracts and ensures they are agreed to/signed by the appropriate person. Drafts sponsorship agreements and coordinates/staff actions with the appropriate agencies, such as legal counsel. Ensures the development and completion of evaluation/follow-up, reports. Develops training and education materials on event marketing and commercial sponsorship for MWR departments. Serves as the Blue Angel Air Show Coordinator Management Assistant (35%) Assist the Marketing Director with the design and implementation of an all-encompassing marketing program for the MWR Department. Specifically: Assist with all editorial staff work for production of MWR publicity and marketing publications. Assist with the solicitation of the MWR Managers for informational input for all publications. Ensures the timely development, layout, writing, editing, proofing, printing and distribution all MWR publications and advertisements Assist with the overseeing, as well as the production of marketing campaigns from inception to completion. This includes the study and determination of the local marketing base and resources to use within the base. Development of a marketing strategy based on Navy and local MWR regulations, leisure need results, in-house generated marketing results, along with managers' needs. Assist with the production of graphic art services to MWR facilities, such as but not limited to, flyers, posters, signs, banners, print media, photography and video promotional vehicles which will be used to promote the department. Assist with the coordination and marketing control for the overall design of an ongoing Indoctrination system that includes on-site briefing to military personnel reporting to the component and tenant commands supported by the NAS Pensacola composite recreation fund. Assist with all aspects of the MWR commercial sponsorship and advertising program for NAS Pensacola. Promotes the wide range of MWR activities for authorized patrons and guests. Recommends promotional ideas, marketing strategies and distribution plans. Serves on committees to ascertain needs, solicit feedback, and introduce ideas. Updates marketing materials at various MWR/CYP locations. Meets with MWR/CYP Program Managers at various locations to access their programs marketing needs. Attends indoctrinations, special events, and may be required to attend meetings in supervisor's absence. Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining social interactive application sites for MWR/CYP Programs that pushes the MWR mission and markets NAS Pensacola MWR/CYP as a "customer-driven" organization. Special Events (10%) The incumbent is responsible for managing a comprehensive special events. The incumbent will provide oversight of large community special events, live entertainment, and joint community undertakings to maximize use of facilities and resources. Graphic/Interactive Designer (5%) Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining web sites and other social interactive application sites for MWR/CYP that pushes the MWR mission and markets NAS Pensacola as a "customer-driven" organization. Specifically: Collaborates with Marketing Director and Managers to ensure that the content is current, accurate, audience friendly and of high quality. Creates art, graphics, photographs graphics and other multimedia files as necessary for integration on websites and other online/social interactive sites. Finds and tells the story around a given idea, event or program. Writes copy suited for web browsing yet conveys enough information to interest and inform the customer. Update, revise, or remove internet content in a timely manner. Implements the MWR electronic publishing for dissemination of information using email, websites, social net-working sites and new technologies as available. Manages a response system for web-generated e-mail, phone calls, and regular mail, ensuring that responses are timely and that they reflect well on the Department. Maintains social net-working email listings to compose and send timely, informative messages to MWR's target audience. stays current with latest graphic design programs, user interface and web technology trends. Ensures integrity of communications by keeping informed on legislation and DOD policies that affect internet and web site content. Other related duties as may be assigned by management.

A qualified candidate must possess the following: A minimum three years of practical experience in marketing, sponsorship, advertising and/or special event programing is highly desirable but not required. Experience that demonstrates knowledge and application of web site design, graphic arts, social networking and other visual media. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, administrative support skills, and strong organization skills. Skilled in various computer and software programs You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.
