Management and Program Analyst
What you'd do
This position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Office of Payment Operations (OPO), Operations Support Division, Payment Application Support Branch. As a Management and Program Analyst, you wil apply problem solving and analytical skills to evaluate new and evolving payment processes, procedures, and customer needs in accordance with FS rules, regulations, policies, and guidance.
Major duties
As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Serve as a production support analyst for FS payment processing primarily involving the Payment Automation Manager (PAM) system, the Secure Payment System (SPS) and the Payment Information Repository (PIR) Apply problem solving and analytical skills to evaluate new and evolving payment processes, procedures, and customer needs in accordance with FS rules, regulations, policies, and guidance with consideration for new legislation or Agency policies. Capture and document the details of system problems, new user required functionality, and system or process improvements Lead coordination, testing, and implementation of payment format and/or application changes with 200+ payment agencies
What you need to qualify
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your résumé. Specialized Experience for the GS-13, you must have one year (full 52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: - Applying problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate payment processes, procedures, and customer needs in accordance with Fiscal Service regulations and policies, considering new legislation or policies, OR - Serving as software tester or technical analyst for payment processing systems, coordinating with technical resources, documenting system issues, and researching process improvements; OR - Leading, coordinating, testing, and implementing system changes with multiple agency customers, developing strategies, monitoring progress, and reporting metrics. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
