Major duties
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Handles guest reservations, check-ins, and check-outs. Processes all charges to guest accounts using a point-of-sale system and/or government computer. Prepares and presents guest folios, collects payments, and maintains accurate records of transactions. May be responsible for handling a change fund. Answers incoming phone calls and operates the telephone system as needed. Delivering messages to guests and ensure timely communication. Notifies the manager of any guest concerns or maintenance issues. Contacts emergency maintenance personnel when necessary. May sell retail merchandise and rental equipment. Provides guests with information about on-site activities and local attractions. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned
What you need to qualify
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Six months experience in operating a computer preferred. Knowledge of basic cash handling techniques. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
