FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
What you'd do
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-Global Business Operations Division, Command Support Branch.
Major duties
Assists primary Facility Manager in the administration of facility management policy and procedures. Assists with space management by updating the facility seating chart monthly and providing daily occupancy reports. Coordinates all maintenance and repairs to the building and support systems. Serves as a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), including administering all contracts pertaining to building maintenance, custodial service, emergency generator service, grounds maintenance, and trash removal. Writes the statement of work, provides technical advice and inspects contractor performance. Analyzes feeder reports from various Project Management organizations, prepares reports, designs detailed charts and graphs.
What you need to qualify
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Basic Requirements: Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-09, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Assisting Facility Managers with budgeting, Space Management, property inventory, coordinating maintenance, and managing repairs for essential building support systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and specialized environmental systems.
