Major duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Los Angeles Air Force Base El Segundo CA is searching for a Cyber Technical Director to support SSC/BZ (NH-2210-04, GS-14/15 equivalent). Description: Influence cyber capabilities for the entire space enterprise as part of the Space Systems Integration Office (SSC/BZ) in support of the Senior Acquisition Executive for Space (SAF/SQ)! As the Cyber Technical Director, you will lead a diverse team of acquisition, engineering, and cyber professionals to assess cyber operational risks, issues and gaps. You will work closely with leadership within PAEs, HQ S6, DAF, OSW, and field/combatant commands to prioritize enterprise initiatives to develop architecture, standards, and solutions to address cyber warfare needs. This work includes assisting in the development of funding justifications and multi-year plans to mitigate cyber risks across the space enterprise. The Technical Director will lead his/her team to develop fiscal year goals and objectives focused on enterprise products (architecture, standards, solutions) for governance review and approval. He/she will develop and maintain strong relationships with mission partners and cyber stakeholders to ensure alignment of cyber mission thread assessments and improvement initiatives. Ideal Candidate: Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity or related subject and/or DoD 8570 certifications. Experience drafting and implementing cyber policy and leading a cross-functional team to meet/exceed deadlines in a challenging, high-paced and dynamic environment. Experience with Risk Management tools/techniques, the Risk Management Framework, and the Security and Privacy Controls for Federal Information Systems and Organizations. Experience assessing and recommending solutions across the full technology stack (cloud, data, applications, network, etc).
