Major duties
You will serve as the Plant Manager for Production Plant Barstow (PPB), Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC). You will manage production operations to achieve continuous improvement in customer satisfaction, product quality, schedule conformance, and reducing total operating costs. You will ensure the execution of the Master Work Schedule through the work of divisions such as Trades, TMDE, Production Support, and Risk management. You will oversee the department organization, coordination, program policies and procedures formulation and implementation. You will monitor the performance, application and effectiveness of new techniques and procedures on overall department operations. You will plan and conduct assessment for resource requirements needed for repair, rebuild, maintenance, technology, facilities, machinery, equipment, and availability of strategic resources and changing uses of associated resources.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-14) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, developing, and executing critical depot level maintenance programs, conducting surveillance of production operations of industrial plants, evaluating resource requirements needed for repair, rebuild, maintenance, technology, facilities, machinery and equipment, and providing managerial and administrative supervision for Divisions, Branches, Sections, and Cost Work Centers. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
