This job opportunity is for an Supply Management Specialist, position description D0878P01, within the G4 Defense Movement Branch. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. This position is located in the Army National Guard ARNG, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics/G4 (DCSLOG/G4),Distribution Management Division, supply and Services Branch. Its purpose is to plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage all command supply and services functions.
Major duties
As an SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2003-11, you will: Plans, organizes and manages supply and services functions to include command equipment/property readiness/accountability management. Formulates and implements command supply operating procedures and policies necessary to support units. Advises the DOL Logistics Management Officer (LMO) on command supply and services status and recommends support required for current and proposed operations. Collects and consolidates data for areas in which operations are anticipated. Maintains current command supply analysis on trends of effectiveness and efficiency. -Receives fiscal information from each subordinate function to prepare and review budget estimates for the command supply and services functions. Monitors required unit equipment inventories and is active in the development, scheduling and execution of special command physical inventories. Monitors unit DODAAC submissions. Ensures timely unit submissions on adds, changes, or deletes. As appropriate, coordinates with the unit and State DODAAC coordinator on any required submissions. Prepares, reviews and verifies command supply and services reports. Performs other duties as assigned.

General Experience Must have the following experience(s): General knowledge of a broad range of supply program relationships Using computer and automation systems Specialized Experience Must have 36 months of the following experience(s): Formulating and implementing comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and requirements Obtaining data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine and improve logistics readiness Developing, staffing and implementing logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization Providing technical oversight throughout the shops and activities of the program
