What you'd do

This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Photo Engraving Branch (Washington, DC Facility). As a Photoengraver (Electronic Pre-Press), you will employ a variety of electronic publishing software applications, digital hardware (e.g. computers, cameras, printers, etc.), and other related skills to produce the highest quality pre-press products and services to support the BEP's mission to produce banknote currency trusted worldwide.

Major duties

As a Photoengraver (Electronic Pre-Press), you will: Apply digital techniques to generate completed pre-press assignments using electronic publishing software and hardware. Perform work on production assignments in compliance with existing workflow and production procedures. Assist fellow Photoengravers with projects and training as needed. Provide production assignments updates and tracking using the business workflow management system. Assist with the maintenance of equipment within the digital pre-press area and keep the Photoengraving Supervisor advised of any problems or needs.
