SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN in the Radiological Control Office of PSNS and IMF.
Major duties
You will conduct surveillance of work involving radioactive materials and radiological controls associated with Naval nuclear propulsion plant work. You will plan and assign work of subordinate staff to meet radiological coverage schedules on a daily or weekly basis. You will develop input on radiological control requirements to be used during special jobs. You will serve as radiological control representative on tasks or work groups comprised of various levels of productions.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and implementing the development and operations of radiological controls by recommending radiological techniques and procedures to correct deficiencies and minimize radiation exposure within an industrial nuclear facility or plan overhaul operations.
