Major duties

You will be a GPS and Positioning Navigation and Timing (PNT) Subject Matter Expert Supporting the Navy Deputy Program Manager at the SSC Navigation Warfare and PNT System Delta and other Navy Program Offices as required. You will represent the Navy at engineering level reviews of proposed changes to the GPS enterprise technical baseline. You will assess and summarize their potential impacts to Navy equities including solicitation inputs from affected Navy programs, and ensuring Navy unique performance, cyber security, supportability, and maintainability considerations are addressed. You will provide technical support as requested including navigation system requirements development, participation in design reviews, and test planning and results analysis. You will research and provide assessments to Naval leadership on SSC and MAR JPO program and technical risks and issues, including cyber security. You will support GPS receiver test and evaluation, platform integration, and troubleshooting by working with government and vendor labs and teams to replicate problems, identify root causes, and identify solutions or workarounds You will serve as a Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative, monitoring contractor performance to ensure compliance with all contract terms, conditions, and specifications including the review and approval of contractor deliverables.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band ND-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, integrating and/or testing of electronic systems, with emphasis on navigation technologies including Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers, anti-jam antennas, Inertial Navigation Systems (INS), and alternative navigation sensors.
