SUPERVISOR
What you'd do
You will serve as a SUPERVISOR in the LOGISTICS AND LIFE CYCLE ENGINEERING (40000) of NIWC ATLANTIC.
Major duties
You will lead and supervise engineering, logistics, and Integrated Product Support personnel responsible for the design, development, acquisition, sustainment, modernization, and disposal of systems and equipment. You will manage IPS and Reliability Engineering programs, providing technical direction, customer support, and oversight of life-cycle logistics, maintenance planning, configuration management, and sustainment activities. You will develop and manage a skilled workforce through strategic workforce planning, recruitment, employee development, performance management, succession planning, and retention initiatives. You will oversee project execution across multiple support elements, including technical data, supply support, training, packaging, transportation, facilities, and infrastructure to ensure mission readiness and customer satisfaction. You will establish and enforce engineering standards, quality processes, and organizational policies while promoting continuous process improvement, digital engineering transformation, and data governance initiatives. You will build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, identify customer needs, allocate resources, and lead efforts to improve operational efficiency, service delivery, and mission outcomes.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NM-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: The minimal qualifications for supervisors are leading the Integrated Product Support (IPS) and Reliability Engineering workforce, providing an in-depth understanding of the twelve IPS elements and digital engineering principles. The qualification focuses on enhancing leadership and communication skills required to manage change and build coalitions within a Competency Aligned Organization. This will enable supervisors to effectively oversee complex life cycle logistics requirements in support of departmental objectives.
