Major duties
You will serve as a recognized subject matter expert in strategic flight and missile systems, representing senior leadership in high-level technical matters. You will oversee the end-to-end implementation of Systems Security Engineering, including Hardware Assurance, Software Assurance, Supply Chain Security, and Cybersecurity across all program office and field detachment operations. You will ensure the secure design, production, and service-life maintainability of complex flight subsystem components supporting deployed platforms, modernization programs, and next-generation developmental weapon systems. You will allocate security requirements for non-enterprise systems and oversee contractor deliverables to ensure modernization initiatives meet strategic system requirements. You will manage the protection of Critical Program Information, develop Program Protection Plans, and serve as the technical authority for evaluating security assessments to support Risk Management Framework and Authority to Operate decisions. You will serve as the primary technical contact for partner engagements and deliver comprehensive systems security, cybersecurity, hardware assurance, and supply chain security training to the workforce. You will serve as the technical consultant for flight system artificial intelligence, evaluate adversarial threats, and secure machine learning integration across weapon system lifecycles.
What you need to qualify
In addition to the basic education requirement your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying systems security engineering across the weapon system lifecycle to assess risks, guide strategy, and integrate emerging technologies.
