What you'd do

The Wyoming Area Office manages major water and power infrastructure across Wyoming and parts of Nebraska, including 20 reservoirs, 19 dams, and 11 hydroelectric power plants with nearly 250 MW of generating capacity. These facilities support irrigation, municipal and industrial water delivery, hydropower generation, flood control, recreation, and environmental stewardship, while serving as a critical economic resource throughout the region. Position is located in Shoshoni, WY

Major duties

This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, Missouri Basin, Wyoming, Facilities Management Division, Big Horn Basin Facility. The major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Ability to read and interpret drawings, manufacturer's specifications; use equipment maintenance manuals; develops preventative maintenance procedures that comply with Reclamation Facility Instructions, Standards and Techniques; prepares job hazard analyses that comply with Reclamation Safety and Health Standards. 2. Develops and sustains cooperative working relationships. Coordinates with others to schedule work assigned their section. 3. Uses computerized preventative maintenance management programs to review, analyze, prioritizes, and document maintenance activities. 4. Works either alone or jointly with various personnel, maintains, and to some extent fabricates various types of electronic and related equipment. 5. Works alone or jointly with various personnel installing electrical, both electro-mechanical and solid state, equipment and devices in high voltage substations and/or electric generating stations. 6. Operates high-voltage switches and related devices in connection with this work and in implementing the safe clearance procedures set up by the Casper Control Center Operator or similar person. Reclamation has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework and you may be allowed to telework with supervisory approval. Salary Information XE-5352-00 $67.62 per hour This vacancy may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available.

You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by the closing date of the vacany annoucenment. Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of the vacancy announcement.
