GENERAL ENGINEER
What you'd do
You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the Structures Branch of the In-Service Submarine Systems Engineering Division (SUB-E57) of TEAM SUB ENGINEERING of PEO SSN.
Major duties
You will be a General Engineer for In-Service Submarine Structures. You will plan, manage, and coordinate various engineering development programs/projects that involve continuous systems modification, system requirement evaluation, and other system performance analysis affecting In-Service Submarine Structures. You will troubleshoot, analyze and determine operating problems, and recommend appropriate changes to correct deficiencies. You will conduct feasibility studies to analyze, evaluate, and determine the practicability and adaptability of proposed solutions; subsequently determine and evaluate the efficiency of adopted improvements to ensure requirements. You will ensure appropriate systems engineering processes are properly applied during In-Service Submarine Structures life cycle sustainment. You will serve as an advisor in applying advanced concepts, principles, and processes for life cycle engineering and management of various submarine structures, materials, subsystems, equipment, and procedures.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalency), in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Professional Engineer leading or coordinating projects to develop cost estimates, analyze system modification requirements and determine solutions for a submarine ship maintenance program.
