What you'd do

This position is located in the Office of Intelligence Operations, Operational Intelligence Division, Geospatial and Intelligence Systems Branch in Washington, DC. The work of this position includes performing team leadership functions, conducting system audits and reviews, and serving as an information technology and contracting coordinator for OIO.

Major duties

The major duties of the Management Analyst (Team Lead) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Serves as team leader. Serves as Bureau Coordinator for TECS, NLETS, NCIC, and other intelligence systems. Trains or arranges for the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks and projects. Evaluates current operating programs and projects associated with intelligence information systems, including objectives, work operations and staffing resources. Preparing a variety of statistical and technical reports including study findings and recommendations for systems improvements.

What you need to qualify

To qualify for this position at the GS-13 grade level, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience must include all of: Analyzing, evaluating, assessing, maintaining and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of information management systems (Treasury Enforcement Communication System (TECS), the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS), the National Crime Information Center (NCIC); AND Planning and conducting system audits and reviews; AND Serving as the primary liaison between IT experts, technical specialists, and external law enforcement agencies to coordinate system deployments, ensuring seamless information exchange and operational security; AND Preparing a variety of statistical and technical reports; AND Working on a team who develops and maintains the information management systems. (ie. Treasury Enforcement Communication System (TECS), the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS), the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
